We can help you get your vehicle ready for the season with a full analysis of your air conditioning/climate control system.
A failing air conditioner or heater when you need it most can be a pain! Faulty air conditioners are tricky to fix but it’s an area we have some serious experience in. Everybody wants to be comfortable in those long drives out to the lake! Signs of leaking, a compressor that doesn’t pressurize properly or actuators that have gone askew are some of the more common problems we see. Sometimes the fix is as simple as tuning things up and adding some refrigerant, while other times it’s more complex. Your vehicle’s air conditioning is a complicated little beast that will usually keep doing its job with some tender loving care. Bring it in and let us help cool you down!
Here are some of the main parts of the A/C system we’ll be looking at. When one fails, they pretty much all fail as they depend on one another:
Climate control system: The climate control system is controlled by a main computer in the vehicle that houses the controls for the air conditioning system.
Compressor: The compressor pressurizes the refrigerant along with blend door actuators. This directs air flow from the floor, mid and defrost vents.
Air door actuators: The air door actuators control air temperature by mixing hot air from the heater and cold air from the air conditioner.
Refrigerant: Refrigerant is used to provide cool air. Without it, there’s no way to circulate cold air throughout your vehicle cabin.
